Suggestions for interactive optimization of underlining

The current underline interaction (within the software and Chrome browser plug-in) is a floating window menu that immediately appears above or below after selecting a text for the user to select some actions. This method of interaction affects the reading experience for users who are accustomed to “reading while scrolling” with a mouse. The floating window menu that appears immediately after the line is drawn will obscure the text content and affect the continuity of reading.
For the optimization method, it is recommended to refer to the cross-marking interaction of the Chrome plug-in Memowise (Figure 3 and Figure 4). After selecting the text with the mouse, press the shortcut key to draw the line, and then perform the next operation.

“Reading while scrolling” user +1. One feedback mentioned that to adjust the position of the pop-up trigger to the position where the mouse is released instead of selecting the end of the selected text, and the official adoption of this feedback is very easy to mistouch... It would be better to have a shortcut to trigger the process

Agreed, the edge plugin is also having this issue. I would like to be able to choose to turn off the marking function
